- Discussion - Does ASTM liaison agreement allow PWG to reference non-public specifications as informative references? - Mike's summary is relevant to this - ASTM allows AMSC to promote its work - Informative references to other standards should always be OK - If PWG uses a name that is *derived from* a name defined within a non-public paywalled reference spec, will the PWG be at risk of copyright infringement? - How does our liaison agreement with such an organization protect us from this or facilitate this being OK? - Quote from front boilerplate of our PWG specs: "This document may be copied and furnished to others, and derivative works that comment on, or otherwise explain it or assist in its implementation may be prepared, copied, published and distributed, in whole or in part, without restriction of any kind, provided that the above copyright notice, this paragraph, and the title of the Document as referenced below are included on all such copies and derivative works.
